To Whom It May Concern / It’s Up To You

To Whom It May Concern and It's Up To You are two works that explore loneliness through anonymous responses to the question: "If loneliness were a companion, what would you say to it?" Shared internationally through an open online questionnaire, the project gathered testimonies from people across different countries, cultures, and life experiences, transforming individual reflections into a collective investigation of listening, vulnerability, and belonging.

Although both works originate from the same body of responses, they unfold in different ways. In To Whom It May Concern, moving images, narration, and music create a contemplative space in which multiple voices intertwine without seeking a single conclusion. It's Up To You, by contrast, translates these responses into a photographic triptych, revealing moments of resonance, tension, and the diverse ways people coexist with the experience of loneliness.

Both works consider listening itself as a form of encounter. By transforming anonymous testimonies into image and narrative, the project reveals how profoundly individual experiences can uncover shared emotions, creating spaces of recognition between people who may never meet.
