Sem Palavras. (With no words)

Sem Palavras explores the limits of communication through a diptych that combines printed text and found objects. One piece consists of wooden letters from a crossword game arranged over a printed internet connection test that has been interrupted and partially cut away. The other presents a blank sheet of paper bearing the only tile in the game without a letter, making visible the absence of language itself.

The work emerges from the contrast between the constant promise of connection and the everyday experience of miscommunication. While the printed internet connection test alludes to the failures of digital systems, the scattered letters remain incapable of forming words. The blank tile, in turn, suggests an even deeper silence: the impossibility of communication before language itself can even begin.

Sem Palavras investigates the limits of language and the distance that can exist between transmitting information and creating a genuine experience of human connection.
