Acasos Tecnológicos. (Technological Chance)
Acasos Tecnológicos is a photographic series that explores the relationships between chance, technology, and the handmade gesture. The works originate from unexpected communication failures between digital devices, producing distorted and unpredictable images. These images are then manually altered through raised cuts that introduce a tactile dimension to the photographic surface, interrupting the seamless logic of digital reproduction.
The series is grounded in the idea that error is not something to be corrected but a generative force capable of opening new creative possibilities. By bringing together technological accidents and manual intervention, the works establish a dialogue between control and unpredictability, algorithm and gesture, machine and human presence. They reveal that even systems designed to operate with absolute precision remain vulnerable to failure, transforming what would ordinarily be discarded into the material for new visual constructions.
Beyond the aesthetics of error, Acasos Tecnológicos investigates the spaces of invention that emerge whenever the unexpected interrupts what once appeared fully controlled. The series ultimately reflects on the coexistence of precision and vulnerability, suggesting that chance remains a vital creative force capable of generating new visual languages.
